The legacy of Roman Empire, Rome was in complete power in the Mediterranean area, this included most of Europe. The Romans possessed a powerful army and were gifted in the arts of law. The Roman Empire was among the most powerful economic, cultural, political, and military forces in the world at its time. Rome was first ruled by roman Kings, then by the Roman Republic. Latin was the well known language in the roman empire. Rome was in many fights with Goth known as the Gothic wars. There is no true facts about how the roman empire was destroyed but it is said that the fall came through Christianity.

Roman Empire, the ancient empire, centered on the city of Rome, that was established in 27 BC following the demise of the Roman Republic and continuing to the final eclipse of the Empire of the West in the 5th century ad. Rome became an empire during the civil unrest of the 1st century, Julius Cesar took power during this time becoming a dictator. After his assassination his nephew became the first Emperor of Rome, Augustus. Under Augustus Rome began to prosper again. During the 14-37 period Tiberius ruled the Empire and crucified Jesus Christ. Therefor Christians were tolerated but were often tortured and killed until the reign of Constantine. After Constantine line of kings dies out, the unified Rome began to die out. Rome split into Western and Eastern Empire after the lines death. The west was invaded constantly and was finally destroyed by the Germanic people of the North East. The eastern Empire prospered and continued as the Byzantium Empire through the European Middle Ages.
